I've read almost the entire blog of yours. Very interesting! I really liked your sense of humor and was impressed
with the way you treated your Asian parents. They must be very happy to have such a wonderful daughter like you. It 's apparently to me that you have a happy life with your loving husband and adoring little Emmy besides
the wonderful in-laws and those cute " man' best friends " . I wonder if you still remember how to speak and write in Vietnamese. I do understand that's not easy at all because I have two children myself and they speak
very little Vietnamese much less writing in that language. My guess is that your parents is about my age and your father and I may have something in common. By the way, my name is Nguyen tan Phat, former South Vietnamese
helicopter pilot; graduated in the US. in the early 1970. In october 1971 ,during a medical evacuation in Krek, Cambodia , I was shot down, captured as POW and exchanged in February 1973, according to the Paris Agreement. After the fall of Saigon, I was recaptured and spent another six years in numerous "re-education camps " in North Vietnam. Released in 1981 I married my wife, a high school teacher ( vietnamese literature ) and came to the US.,settled in Savannah,Georgia. Here is the interesting part: We have two children. My son is 27,electrical engineer working for General Dynamic/ Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. and my daughter Vannessa Nguyen 26 ,graduated from UGA's Grady College of Journalism and current working in Florida as tv. news reporter (WJHG). I greatly appreciated your shared experiences through all those years working with different famous television networks. I truely believe that my daughter Vanessa will learn a lot from your valuable insights.
