Birthday Cakery

Forgot to share this photo with you. The chocolate strawberry shortcake from La Patisserie.

I usually hate frosting or icing of any kind--it's just too sweet and lardy for my taste. This coming from a woman who loves her bacon and waffles. But something about icing does not float my boat.

The whipped cream frosting and filling in this cake is light and delicious and perfect. One of my faves.
