This is why those last few pregnancy pounds just won't dissolve. They're engorged with homemade Vietnamese-y goodness. Courtesy of Asian Grandma. She made these savory crepes from rice flour, then stuffed them with chopped chicken breast, long strands of Chinese mushrooms, and crunchy slivers of daikon radish. Topped with crispy onions, fresh bean sprouts, and a spray of mint. Pour on the nuoc mam spiced with chili paste and garlic and it's enough to make even the strongest photographer pass out when locked in a live truck with me.
