One of my former interns wrote this headline on a graphic about Virgin America adding new flights to Mexico:

"Virgin Expands Down South"

Our astute producer caught the headline and toned it down. Not worth the angry emails from viewers. I can see them now, fraught with exclamation points and capital letters, "HOW INAPPROPRIATE!' 'This is the news, not Playboy Channel! I will never watch NBC again!' Beware the power of the Offended People.

I asked him if my intern wrote it that way on purpose and he was all, "Oh no, it was just an accident, Vicky."

Apparently I didn't teach her well enough.
