Wigs For Kids

We almost cut Emmy’s hair a year ago because it was getting pretty long. But it was so silky and shiny and Pantene-y. And I had always grown up with the crazy Asian bowl cut, except for that one year when a stylist convinced me to cut my hair totally short and pixie on one side, while keeping it long on the other side. Everyone thought I was a little boy.

Because I looked like a little boy.

Yes, that’s me. Some lady in San Jose asked if I wanted this haircut and I agreed.

Don’t ask me where I got all those scratches on my face. No clue. Pretty fly sweater though, right?

Anyhoo. Because I never had long luxurious hair, I wasn’t eager to cut Emmy’s. So I suggested she keep growing it super long so she could cut it off and donate it. So here we are. We did some research and decided on Wigs for Kids.

This kid. So in love with her. Big thanks to Bella Bal-Lance Salon in Santa Clara for the great experience and making sure the donation makes it to Wigs for Kids.

Emmy went back to school after winter break with a brand new look and hopefully her hair will help another kid feel great about themselves during a rough time.
