The documentary was the first of its kind by the NBC Bay Area Investigative Unit, premiering January 12, 2019. The 30 minute, commercial free special is based on a 15 month continuous investigation into allegations of sexual abuse and reports that victims’ reports were covered up by the leadership of a Catholic girls school in San Jose.

drivers under siege

This 2019 duPont-Columbia award-winning series exposed the alarming rise in violent attacks against AC Transit drivers in the Bay Area and led to safety changes at the local level. The reports also prompted California Congress members to introduce federal legislation to protect public transit operators nationwide. Sysco’s dirty secret

This investigative series resulted in a landmark $19.4M consumer settlement paid by Sysco Corporation to the state of California. Our reporting uncovered Sysco’s unsanitary food handling practice of storing perishables such as raw chicken, dairy and produce on the floor of unrefrigerated outdoor storage sheds. The series was honored with multiple national awards including: Emmy, Scripps Howard, Gerald Loeb, National Press Club, and Gracie, plus regional Emmy and Murrow awards.
